The current technological status of the superconductor power system is approaching its to the practical utilization. The technology of current limiting device now demands high capacity, reliability and short restarting time. This report contains the investigation of current status and trends of technology development of the current limiting device using superconductor which will provide basic data for the future design and manufacturing of prototype products of current limiting device using superconductor. 1 fig., 1 tab., 5 refs.
