Investigation of the semileptonic decay of the Λb baryon in bar pp collisions at √s = 1.8 TeV

Preliminary investigation of the semileptonic decay mode Λb→Λc+l-bar v, Λc+→ΛX, Λ→pπ- using Λb mesons produced in bar pp collisions is presented. The data sample consists of inclusive lepton events recorded by the CDF experiment during 1992-93 Tevatron collider run at Fermilab. The signal is searched for as an excess of Λl- events over Λl+ events after background subtraction. The results are compared with similar measurements by other experiments and with theoretical expectations
