Estimation of Ni / polyethylene bilayer by slow positron beam

Description
We made thin Ni films on polyethylene using MBE, and the positron annihilation lifetimes in those thin films are measured using slow positron beam. In the Ni layer, we found that small vacancy clusters are located near the surface. We have discussed diffusion of positrons in polyethylene (PE). (orig.)
