Clearing up Hermes, an alpha-contaminated facility

Description
Work on decommissioning the Hermes experimental electromagnetic device for the separation of heavy metal isotopes was completed earlier this year. Because of the nature of the contamination all operations had to be carried out in full pressurised air suits. (author)
