Description
Using the ARGUS detector at DORIS II e+e- storage ring a parity violation asymmetry has been observed for the first time in tau decay into three charged pions. From the measured asymmetry the normalized product of the axial and vector coupling constants, 2gAgV/(gA2+gV2)=1.14±0.34(+0.34-0.17) has been derived. It was found that the ντ to be a left-handed particle and ντ to be right-handed, which is in good agreement with the Standard Model. (K.A.) 6 refs., 2 figs
