Electroradiography and mammography. 1

An electric radiographic device is described and the measuring technique as well as its application to mammography are outlined. X-ray dosimetry was carried out on specially prepared piacryl phantoms using both soft ionization chambers and thermoluminescent dosemeters. Because of the higher measuring accuracy and the faster availability the ionization chambers are to be preferred to the dosemeters. The resolution of the powder pattern on the Se layer amounted to a maximum of 10 lines/mm. When transferring this pattern to the paper, the loss of information was up to 50%
