Noise analysis and fission gas release
Description
The range of noise analysis techniques available at Halden has been extended by the development of methods for calculating cross-correlations and phase and gain spectra from sets of noise data. Analysis of noise measurements from the overpressure experiment IFA 610.1 using these methods shows that noise data are sensitive to fuel rod fill gas composition. Analysis of data from the re-instrumented fuel ramp experiment IFA 629.1 demonstrates that noise analysis can be used to detect and study fission gas release (author) (ml)
