9. Colloquium X rays and matter. Abstract collection

Description

The 'X rays and matter 2011' symposium, the ninth in a series inaugurated in 1995 to mark the centenary of the discovery of X-rays, brings together all the communities that use X-rays to study matter. This multi-disciplinary symposium is an opportunity to share our knowledge of radiation-matter interaction phenomena, which are at the root of a number of techniques in use in both university laboratories and industry. As in previous editions, topics will revolve around instrumentation and the means used to process the data obtained by different techniques such as: central scattering, diffraction and diffuse scattering, fluorescence and absorption spectroscopies, in situ measurement methods, application of methods to industrial problems. For this edition, the focus was on the following themes: Texture, Stresses and Microstructure, Instrumentation, Fluorescence, Tomography, Spectroscopies, Central Scattering, Reflectometry, Geology and Environment, Structural Resolution Methods, Hybrid Materials, Structure-Property Relationships
