Methods for evaluating the long-range impact of radioactive effluents in the marine environment
Description
The relative importance for radiation protection purposes of coastal discharges of radioactive effluents, produced mainly by reprocessing plants, is shown in the introduction. Theoretical as well as experimental studies carried out in various scientific fields are then reviewed. Valid methods for evaluating long-range transport and dilution of radioactive pollutants on an European scale can then be established
