Nitrosylrhenium(14NO and 15NO) complexes
- 1. Rikkyo Univ., Tokyo (Japan). Faculty of Science
Description
Abstract The 15NO-complexes for M2[ReX5(NO)] (M=Rb, Cs, and pyH; X=Cl and Br) were prepared. The 15N-isotopic shift for their N–O stretching vibrations, ca. 40 cm−1, supports the view that the oxidation state of the NO group is I, while that of the rhenium atom is II. The Re–(NO) stretching and the Re–(NO) bending vibrations were observed in the 610–620 cm−1 region. A new compound, cis-(pyH)[ReCl4(NO)2], was prepared, the oxidation state of its rhenium atom being considered to be I, and that of the NO group, I.
