Power flow and electric current asymmetries in the ASDEX SOL

Description

The fast reciprocating Langmuir probe in the ASDEX divertor was used to study the existence of currents in the scrape-off layer. The multiple tip configuration consisted of three tips in triple-probe arrangement and a fourth tip grounded to measure net currents. The probe sweeping mode of operation allows the acquisition of up to four radial profiles of the electron temperature, plasma density, floating potential and net current of the grounded tip. (orig.)
