Description
The mechanism of applying thermoluminescence detector to dosimetry is elucidated by the theory of solid energy band (lattice energy level). The dosimetric characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of five phosphors commonly used in thermoluminescence detector, namely LiF, CaSO4, CaF2, Li2B4O7 and BeO, are described. The points of attention for their use are stated. The techniques of constructing thermoluminescence detector, such as hot-pressing extrusion molding method, hot-pressing section cutting method, cold-pressing sintering method, capillary sealing method and resin adhesion method, and their applications are given
