On the Cohen-Macaulayness and Gorensteinness of integral closure filtrations Rees algebras of height-two equimultiple ideals

In this paper we give the criteria for an integral closure filtration Rees algebra R(I)-bar of height-two equimultiple ideal I in terms of a basic ring and an ideal I. From these criteria we obtain interesting information on the structure of a basic ring and an ideal I, when Rees algebra R(I)-bar is a Cohen-Macaulay or Gorenstein ring. (author). 10 refs
