Investigation by radioindicator method on coprecipitation process of transition element microimpurities with collector from magnesium nitrate solutions
Description
Using the method of radioactive indicators certain physicochemical properties of non-sorbed form of iron and cobalt microimpurities in magnesium nitrate solution have been studied. The data obtained testify to the effect that in the solution studied in the concentration range 1x10-3-1x10-6 mass. % and at pH=8 iron microimpurity is both in colloid and molecular forms, at that, the latter one is presumed to exist as a complex. It is the molecular form which remains in solution after coprecipitation and filtration and it is a non-sorbed form. The above mentioned form possesses a high chemical stability. A principle possibility to reach solution purification depth at the level of 1x10-8 mass.% as to iron microimpurities, is shown
