Studies on the isotopic analysis of boron by TIMS using NaCl for formation of Na2BO2+ ions. CP-7

  • 1. Mass Spectrometry Section, Fuel Chemistry Div., Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)

Description

A detailed study on the influence of various factors on isotopic composition of boron determined as sodium metaborate ion was undertaken. The effect of mannitol and different amounts of sodium on the atom ratio of boron was studied. Sodium was added in the usual form of carbonate, and also as sodium chloride which was successfully used in the presence of mannitol. Boron isotopic standard NBS-951 was used in these studies.
