Transfer of chemical elements from seawater to atmosphere by vaporization

Description
Transfer coefficients of 22Na, 54Mn, and 65Zn from seawater and 0.5 M sodium chloride solutions into gas phase by vaporization have been experimentally determined and range from 10-8 to 10-7. This corresponds to a vapor pressure of about 10-11 atm, which is substantially higher than thermodynamically calculated vapor pressures of corresponding anhydrous chlorides
