On the fluorescent spectrum in absorptive optical bistability
Description
The spectrum of fluorescent light in absorptive optical bistability is calculated by exploiting the scaling properties of the quantities in play with respect to the size of the system. The results hold for both ''good'' and ''bad'' quality cavity. The spectrum shows a hysteresis cycle and the resolved triplet appears discontinuously by increasing the incident field. However, contrary to the spectrum of transmitted light, no line narrowing is found at the boundaries of the hysteresis cycle. (author)
