Picosecond spectroscopy of high-density electron - Hole plasma in direct-gap semiconductors

  • 1. Dept. of Electronics, Tottori Univ., Koyama, Tottori (Japan)

Description

Picosecond Spectroscopy is indispensable for investigating the dynamic nature of high-density EHP. Another important subjects studied by means of picosecond spectroscopy is the energy relaxation processes of photogenerated carriers, including interactions with phonons and radiative and nonradiative recombinations. The authors have performed measurements of picosecond time-resolved spectra of spontaneous luminescence of EHP in CdS, CdSe, and GaAs and have discussed carrier relaxation and the nature of the EHP. The results of this research are reviewed in this chapter
