Description
Site assessments were conducted by the Department of Energy (DOE) at locations on two Indian Tribal Reservations in the Western US. These assessments were conducted, as part of a voluntary, negotiated siting process, to make a preliminary determination of the technical suitability of these sites for development of a Monitored Retrievable Storage (MRS) facility. Based upon a review of available data and these site assessments, a preliminary determination was made that all sites evaluated are suitable to proceed with the voluntary siting process for an MRS facility
