The relationship between milligram-hours quantity and doses at points A and B in gynecologic brachytherapy

Description
A comparison of mghr prescrition (Fletcher's system) to doses at points A and B (Manchester's system) in gynecologic brachytherapy is presented. The dose rate at points A and B from computerized isodose curves is studied. The f ratio = (dose rates)/(mgRaeq) is measured by: the ovoid charge, the curvature of uterine probe, the shifting charge of uterine probes, the lateral shifting of extern orifice in relationship of extern orifice in relationship to the pelve, the separation between the ovoids and the angulation of uterine probe. Comparam-se os sistemas de prescricao de dose nos pontos A e B de Manchester e a quantidade de mgh no sistema de Fletcher, enfatizando-se a relacao matematica existente entre eles. Estudam-se as taxas de doses nos pontos A e B a partir de conjuntos de linhas de isodose computadorizadas. Calcula-se a razao f=(taxa de dose)/(mgRaeq) em funcao de variaveis como: carga dos ovoides, curvatura da sonda uterina, deslocamento da carga da sonda uterina, deslocamento do orificio externo lateralmente em relacao a pelve, separacao entre os ovoides e a angulacao da sonda uterina em relacao ao eixo das ordenadas definido para o ponto B.
