Energy characteristics of double-charged particles from high-energy hadron-nucleus interactions

Description

Energy spectra are obtained for slow α particles from hadron-nucleus splittings at 7,5, 200, 400 GeV energies. It is shown that tha α spectra at Ekin<18 MeV/nucleon for peripheric interactions are described by Maxwell's law in the evaporation approximation. In the case oof central collisions the experimental data indicate the pressure of two reaction channels: evaporation and explosion. Double-charge particles with Ekin>18 MeV/nucleon behave as cascade of which ∼ 22% are 3He nuclei and 78% are α particles
