Description
Different models developed by DER for about ten years to predict fluid-structure interaction and associated damage in industrial components have been implemented in the Code-Aster. These numerical developments are currently used to evaluate the component damage and their life duration (steam generators, control rods), or to estimate safety margins (reactor cores, fuel assemblies,...). To deal with industrial problems in steam generators (maintenance, life duration), a numerical tool, GEVIBUS, has been developed. This tool is based on the two computer codes THYC and Code-Aster. It has been transferred to SEPTEN at the beginning of 1996. It has been used many times to elaborate reports for Safety Commission or to expertise different modifications proposed by component manufacturers. (authors)
