On principal correlation between corrosion-erosion of carbon steels in water circuits of power plants and equilibrium thermodynamical factors
Creators
Description
Consideration is being given to semiquntitative physicochemical model of corrosion-erosion of carbon steel in chemically salted out water in cooling circuits of power plants. Correlation between parameters characterizing corrosion (oxidation constants, the total value of corrosion losses) and equilibrium solubility of iron corrosion products was established. It is shown that the knowledge of thermodynamic factors of the process enables to perform quantitative calculations of corrosion and removal of corrosion products to the coolant
