Time domain curve fitting and method of moments: a comparative study for analysis of RTD data generated using radiotracers

Description
Two methods most commonly used for analysing RTD data generated using radiotracers are compared. Data from a fluidized bed reactor (where glass particles are fluidized by water) are analysed. Model parameters from non-ideal tracer responses that represent convolution of the unit impulse response of the system under consideration are predicted. Numerical example of the Axial Dispersion Model with open-open boundary conditions containing two parameters is presented. (author)
