Bulk shielding design and safety analysis of 5 MW Low Power Reactor
Description
The model, the method and the codes of radiation field and temperature field calculations in bulk shielding design of the 5 MW Low Power Reactor are presented. The main results of revised design calculation are listed. Both incident neutron flux and gamma flux on the inner surface of the concrete shield meet the design criteria. The highest temperature, the maximum temperature rise and temperature gradient meet the requirements of the criteria. In order to verify the reliability of the temperature field code, the calculation results are compared with results at the inner surface of HFETR's concrete shields. The agreement is good
