Description
In the theory of heavy ion reactions, classical analogy and dimensional analysis have been used to estimate a nuclear viscosity coefficient in terms of the total inelastic cross-section. Analogy with classical mechanics has been used for the qualitative study of reaction mechanisms, and the generator co-ordinate formalism has given a microscopic form factor. (Auth.)
