Description
Concrete compressive strength of cementation product of radioactive waste is the urgent parameter to be known. These value give the forecasts mechanical strength of processed waste as well as resistance to confine radionuclide during storage period. This paper presents compressive strength data of 26 concrete samples from cementation activities of compacted solid radioactive waste. Sample was prepared by taking the concrete slurry in mixing-stirring tank to polyethylene pot diameter 4 cm for each cementation process of drum shell. Measurement was done after 28 days by Perrier compressive strength test equipment. In general, processed waste packages product of cementation have met the reference value with compressive strength average 23.75 ± 2.644 N/mm2. The application of operating standard, especially in terms of formulation, making and and filling slurry, is expected to ensure the quality of processed waste. (author)
