Analysis of the 16O(p,2p)15N at 50 MeV energy of protons

Description

The 16O(p, 2p)15N reaction has been studied at 50-MeV energy of protons in the complete phase and in the symmetric coplanr geometry. Differential angular and energy spectra of secondary protons and recoil nuclei are obtained. The results are analyzed taking into account quasi-elastic knock-out and core polarization. In the quasi-elastic approximation nonlocal realistic t matrix of free proton-proton scattering is used. Coupling constants are obtained which determine virtual excitations to the giant resonance range of the 15N nucleus for E1-and E2-trasitions. The experimental data can be fitted only by coherent summing of the amplitude of the two processes under consideration
