Redox reagents of diphenylamine series with different space and electronic structure are considered. Promoting effect of ruthenium on the rate of oxidation reaction of N-methyldiphenylamine-4-sulfoacid by potassium periodate formed the basis of the technique for its determination. 13 refs., 3 figs., 1 tab
