Anisotropic Plasma Effects on Elastic Electron-Ion Collisions in an Anisotropic Plasma

  • 1. Hanyang Univ., Ansan, Kyunggi-Do (Korea, Republic of). Dept. of Applied Physics

Description

The anisotropic plasma effects on elastic electron-ion collisions are investigated in an anisotropic plasma due to the presence of an external electric field. Born analysis is considered to obtain the electron-ion scattering amplitude and cross section including electric and plasma screening effects. The results show that the anisotropic effects significantly enhance the differential electron-ion scattering cross sections for forward scattering directions. The anisotropic effects are also found to decrease with increasing scattering angle
