Stabilized color centers created by high-intensity ultra-short pulse laser in pure YLF crystals

Description
In this work, we show that it is possible to produce stable color centers inside YLiF4 crystals with dimensional control, by focusing a high-intensity ultra-short laser pulses in the material. In particular, it is possible to determine the center creation intensity threshold and therefore to discuss the basic formation mechanisms of these centers
