Bose condensation of alpha particles in heavy ion collisions

A fully self-consistent quantum statistical model is used to demonstrate the possibility of Bose condensation of alpha particles with a concomitant phase transition in heavy ion collisions. Suggestions for the experimental observation of this phenomenon are made
