Production of radionuclides 123I, 77Br for nuclear medicine with high energetic 4He particles
Description
The feasibility of using 50-102 MeV alpha particles to produce the 123Xe → 123I and 77Kr → 77Br generators were evaluated using targets of natural sodium iodide and sodium bromide. Thick target yields of direct and indirect produced 123I and 77Br were measured. Production rates for other resulted radionuclides were also measured, and the level of indirectly produced 125I impurity were determined
