Relative state selective capture cross sections for low energy collisions between highly charged bare ions and neutral atoms

Description
Relative state selective (n) single electron capture cross sections are calculated for low energy collisions involving bare oxygen and nitrogen ions and neutral H and O, using a three body classical trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) method. The population of states are studied as a function of relative collision speed and ionization potential of the active target electron, and compared with other theoretical calculations and experimental data
