Description
Studied is the polarographic behaviour of molybdenum (6) in sulfuric-acid solutions, containing potassium chlorate and mandelic acid by the method of alternating-current polarography. Investigated is the influence of solution acidity, potassium chlorate and mandelic acid concentrations, and solution temperature on the peak height in Mo(6) reduction. Linear dependence between the peak height and molybdenum concentration is shown to remain in the range of 2x10-7x10-5 mol/l. The methods of detecting >= 3x10-6% Mo in silicate rocks is developed. The influence of accompanying elements is investigated
