The eutectic hybrid oxide-oxide-metal composite for high temperature construction applications

  • 1. Politechnika Slaska, Gliwice (Poland)

Description

The fabrication method of eutectic hybrid oxide-oxide-metal composite for high temperature construction application especially in combustion engines and gas turbines has been described. The method consists in one direction crystallization of especially prepared metal-oxides mixture. The oxide components should have ability to create euthenics of them and the metal used as ''reinforced agent'' for composite materials. The oxides used as components of the materials are chosen from the following groups: Cr2O3, CrAl2O3, MgO, MgAl2O4, ZrO2 and Al2O3, MgO, TiO2, ZrO2 (stab.). The metal is chosen from the group: Dr, Mo, Ta, W, Nb
