'Pure monojet' events at hadron colliders: Supersymmetry or the standard model?
Description
The matrix elements squared of processes qanti q→gγ tilde γ tilde, qg→qγ tilde γ tilde are calculated and a factorization in the soft gluon limit is obtained. Three-body phase space corresponding to experimental cuts is analysed. It is shown that the detection of SUSY particles at the UNK and the SSC in 'pure monojet' events, generated by these processes, is possible only in the case of a light scalar neutrino. (orig.)
