The visualization of the internal water distribution at the PEMFC using the neutron radiography image technology: feasibility test

  • 1. Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang (Korea, Republic of)
  • 2. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Taejon (Korea, Republic of)

Description

Neutron image technique was used to study the 2-phase flow pattern and water fraction at channels of PEMFC. Using water and pressured air composed the feasibility test apparatus before setup the actual test apparatus nearby the nuclear reactor. From the images, several 2-phase flow patterns were discovered by image analysis. It was checked the possibility to visualize inside PEMFC using the neutron image technique
