Thermal instability of the de Sitter vacuum

Description

Assuming thermal equilibrium between the hot de Sitter vacuum and thermal radiation we obtain the second moments in the fluctuations of the energy around that equilibrium. Its stability imposes an upper limit on the temperature of this vacuum. (orig.)
