Method of processing radioactive wastes
Description
Purpose: To attain significant volume-reduction in the solidifying procession of radioactive wastes. Constitution: Miscellaneous burnable solid wastes or resin wastes are burnt into ashes, and combustion exhaust gases from the incinerator are treated to remove dusts in a dust collector. On the other hand, concentrated liquid wastes are dried into powder by a dryer using waste heat of the burnt exhaust gases as a heat source. Then, the exhaust gases from the drier are treated to remove dusts in a dust collector. The burnt ashes, powders and powderous dusts collected in each of the dust collectors are subjected to solidifying treatment. (Kawakami, Y.)
