Surface engineering. V. 3: Process technology and surface analysis

The 13 papers grouped under Process Technology in this volume cover the following topics: thermal spraying and hard surfacing, laser processing, electroplating, physical vapor deposition, plasma nitriding and ion implantation. Surface analysis is dealt with in 9 papers which cover corrosion studies, wear studies, surface integrity and surface properties. Separate abstracts have been prepared for 2 papers, one on the deposition of diamond-like carbon coatings by ion implantation, and the other on the prevention and repair of ''end corrosion'' in 347 stainless steel by laser surface remelting.
