Photoproduction experiments in the nucleon resonance region

Description

The experimental results on single pion photo-production on nucleons are reviewed and compared with the three most recent analyses. They cover the whole photon energy region up to a cm-energy of 2.0 GeV. The progress of the experimental techniques to produce polarized beams and polarized targets led to a considerable increase in the number of asymmetry measurements. (BJ)

Abstract (German)

Die Ergebnisse von Experimenten ueber die Photoproduktion an Nukleonen werden zusammengefasst und mit den drei neuesten Analysen verglichen. Sie erstrecken sich ueber den gesamten Photonenenergiebereich bis zu einer cm-Energie von 2,0 GeV. Die Weiterentwicklung der experimentellen Verfahren zur Herstellung polarisieter Strahlen und Targets fuehrte zu einem betraechtlichen Anstieg der Zahl der Asymmetriemessungen. (BJ/AK)
