Effect of hydrogen on mechanical properties of metals

Description
The effect of hydrogen embrittlement on the creep and the plasticity of steel-Cr18Ni10 is studied. The samples are irradiated by molecular H+ ions with the energy of 15 keV and the dose up to 1022/m2. The experimental results of creep testing at ion irradiation in the temperature range of 570-770 K are presented. It is found out that the steel creep is observed later some latent time after hydrogen ions irradiation. The mathematical model of metal creep induced by hydrogen ions irradiation is proposed
Abstract (Russian)
Изучается влияние водородного охрупчивания на ползучесть и пластичность стали типа 18-20. Образцы стали облучались молекулярными ионами H+ с энергией 15 кэВ и дозой до 1022/м2. Представлены экспериментальные результаты испытаний ползучести стали в процессе ионного облучения в температурном интервале 570-770 К. Установлено, что ползучесть стали обнаруживается спустя некоторое латентное время после облучения ионами водорода.
