A new approach to analysis of dust-acoustic solitons with a self-consistent charge of dust particles

Description
A new technique of analysis of dust-acoustic solitons based on an hydrodynamic model of dusty plasma with self-consistent charge of dust particles is developed. An advantage of the proposed approach is the use of only elementary functions. Charge fluctuations of dust particles inside the soliton as well as profiles of its potential and densities are calculated. The main characteristics of solitons are calculated in a wide range of plasma parameters. The conditions for the existence of extremely slow solitons are found. The calculations are performed for hydrogen, helium and argon plasmas. (paper)
