Description
Applications of differential geometry methods to the equations of Sine-Gordon type are reviewed. Basic results on the theory of surfaces in the euclidean space are obtained. Following the idea by Lund and Regge, it is shown that analysis of motion of the repere on a surface results in a class of soluble two-dimensional relativistic field theories
