Creators

  • 1. VUPEK, Prague (Czechoslovakia)

Description

Under new political and economical circumstances, the CSFR nuclear industry has to defend its interests by the following arguments: 1. Nuclear energy is environmentally friendly. It can help significantly to reduce both the 'conventional' chemical pollution of the environmental (SO2, NOx, flying ash) and the greenhouse effect, 2. It offers diversity, making us less reliant on fossil fuel and it will outlast the latter, 3. The existing nuclear power plants can be operated in a safe and economical manner, 4. The new nuclear projects can be prepared and implemented is such a way to have finally the safe and economical competitive electricity, 5. The radioactive waste treatment will not compromise the environment and people health and lives. (orig./HSCH)
