Environmental protection and pollution technology

Now that the media has taken up the environment as an issue, concerns such as the greenhouse effect are getting a lot more publicity and public awareness has increased. This conference on the technology that may help with environmental protection bought together many issues of interest and concern. Two papers, one on the role of the National Radiological Protection Board and radioactive releases from the civil nuclear industry in the United Kingdom and the other on the radiation protection programme in Lancashire are indexed separately.
