Temperature measurement method of a fluid within a vessel using an ultrasonic wave, and associated device
Description
An ultrasonic wave is emitted outside the vessel and is guided through the walls of the vessel and through the fluid contained in it. From a diametrically opposite point of the wall the wave directly transmitted and the wave transmitted after reflection are received. One determine the time difference between the reception of the directly transmitted wave and that of the wave delayed by reflection; from this, the temperature of the fluid is calculated while knowing the law of variation of ultrasonic velocity with temperature. The invention applies to temperature monitoring of nuclear reactors, more especially for pressurized water reactors

On emet une onde ultrasonore depuis l'exterieur de l'enceinte et on provoque la propagation de cette onde ultrasonore a travers les parois de l'enceinte et a travers le fluide contenu dans cette enceinte. On capte en un point de captage determine, a l'exterieur de l'enceinte, l'onde transmise directement a travers l'enceinte et a travers le fluide, et l'onde transmise apres reflection. On determine l'intervalle de temps separant la reception au point de captage de l'onde transmise directement de la reception au point de captage de l'onde transmise apres reflection, et on deduit la valeur de la temperature du fluide, de la valeur de l'intervalle de temps, de la longueur du parcours dans le fluide et de la connaissance de la variation de la vitesse du son dans le fluide.
