BWR type reactors
Description
Purpose: To increase the natural recycle flow rate by reducing the flow resistance in the reactor to thereby improve the heat exchanging efficiency, as well as improve the reactor safety. Constitution: Liquid reservoir is disposed for temporarily storing the liquid component of steams condensated through a steam condensating heat exchanger disposed above the free liquid surface of coolants in a pressure vessel and feeding the same to the liquid coolants below. Further, a liquid cooling heat exchanger is disposed for controlling the temperature of the liquid stored in the liquid reservoir. Since the flow resistance due to the heat exchanger is thus eliminated, natural recycling amount is increased. (Yoshino, Y.)
