Characterization of 5x16 bit counter for automatic RIA sample changer multi detector equipment

Description
Characterization of automatic RIA sample changer counter has been conducted. The aim of the test is to verify address assignment to each counter module, and evaluate the calculation result of pulse processing module. The testing was conducted using standard RIA-kit which was placed in sample hole for counting. Output of pulse processing module is a digital signal which then being counted and displayed in PC with custom application developed using Visual Basic. Count rate calculation was performed after several measurements address assignment which was performed during the measurements. The evaluation was done by comparing similarity between the result of each detector on each sample hole. The result shows that address assignment was correct with correction factor 1,12 and count rate for each detector was relatively the same. (author)
